The Neighborhood

Eating in Hershey, on Chocolate Avenue

101 West Chocolate Avenue puts Iron Hill on Hershey's main street, minutes from Hersheypark, Hershey Lodge, the GIANT Center and Hershey Theatre. For a town that fills up with visiting families for most of the year, that is about as central as an address gets.

It also means the room works two ways. During park season the tables turn over with families coming off a long day, wanting hand-stretched pizza and somewhere the kids are genuinely welcome. Off-season and midweek it settles into a local brewpub for Derry Township, Hummelstown and Palmyra.

The beer is brewed in the building, which is unusual for a destination town where most of the dining is built around volume. If you are working out where to eat in Hershey and want something made on the premises rather than shipped in, that is the distinction worth knowing.

Good for

  • Families coming off a day at Hersheypark
  • Before and after GIANT Center events
  • Hershey Theatre evenings
  • Local weeknight dinners in Derry Township

Getting here

Chocolate Avenue is Hershey's main route through town, running east to west between Hersheypark Drive and the town centre.
