Thomas (Jack) Allingham
Jack spent many years in the industry before joining Iron Hill in 2012 where he has worked his way through progressive roles in our kitchens before becoming the Head Chef in Voorhees.
He opened the Kite & Key in Philadelphia, worked at Twenty21 under Chef Townsend Wentz, and other restaurants in the Philadelphia area over the span of 14 years. Jack spent three years at Monk’s Café in Philadelphia, where he first learned the art of pairing beer with food and enjoying the opportunity to sample hundreds of different beers from around the world.
Jack has always loved to cook. His mother has a passion for cooking, plus an interest in international cuisine, and always made sure they had great food to eat growing up. Her lasagna is still, to this day, his favorite thing to eat. Jack’s cooking interests shift all the time as he discovers new styles and new cuisines. While it may not be the most complex, he certainly loves getting a group of friends together and making a big ol’ crab boil.
Jack resides in Palmyra, NJ with his wife, Elaine, and two kids, Simon and Max. When he’s not cooking, he enjoys watching horror movies, playing Xbox, golfing, reading mystery novels, doing projects with his kids and playing trivia games (often losing to his wife)!
