Executive Sous Chef
Jacob has always gravitated toward food. Even when studying nursing full-time, he managed the kitchen part time at Iron Hill in Newark. “Working in kitchens has always just felt like a second home for me”, Jacob says. Driven by the excitement of industry changes, seasonality and cultural cuisine, Jacob is constantly experimenting with new flavors and styles of cooking.
As Executive Sous Chef of Iron Hill Ardmore, Jacob enjoys the local, family-like vibe amongst his fellow employees and guests he serves. He especially enjoys developing friendships with his team outside of the restaurant, and recalls a memorable time of competitive axe throwing, not only because he won, but because of the camaraderie that extends beyond the restaurant walls.
Jacob lives in Wilmington, Delaware with his wife (and three dogs) and together they enjoy visiting nearby cities to try new restaurants and aims to bring back inspiration to his featured offering at Iron Hill.
